About RTB Foundation

A non-governmental, non-profit organization — serving vulnerable lives with dignity, compassion, and integrity since 2006.

Our Story

Two Decades of Quiet, Lasting Impact

RTB Foundation — formally known as the Rashidat Tijani Bayewu Charity Organization — is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to supporting vulnerable individuals and families within the limits of our available resources.

Founded in 2006 and celebrating its 20th anniversary in February 2026, RTB has quietly built a track record of meaningful, sustained impact — not through grand announcements, but through consistent action in communities that needed it most.

From paying school fees for students who would otherwise have dropped out, to running eye screening clinics, providing free prescription medications, and supporting widows through financial hardship — our work is driven by a simple conviction: every person deserves to be treated with dignity.

Our Purpose

Vision, Mission & Core Values

Our Vision

"A society where vulnerable people are supported with dignity, compassion, and access to essential needs — regardless of their circumstances."

Our Mission

"To build a society where vulnerable people are supported with dignity, compassion, and access to essential needs — regardless of their circumstances."

Our Core Values

Our values are not decorative language on a wall. They are the operational DNA of how RTB recruits partners, designs programs, engages communities, and evaluates success.

Community member being supported with care and respect
Dignity

Every person we serve is treated with inherent respect and worth — not as a recipient of charity, but as a human being with full dignity.

Volunteers offering compassionate support to families
Compassion

We lead with empathy in every program, every interaction, and every decision — seeing the person behind every need.

Transparent and accountable program delivery
Integrity

We operate with full transparency and accountability — to our donors, our beneficiaries, and to the communities that trust us.

Diverse community members coming together
Inclusion

Our programs reach regardless of background, religion, or circumstance. Vulnerability is our only criterion for support.

Founder's Message

A Word from
Rashidat Tijani Bayewu

"When we started RTB over 20 years ago, we had no grand strategy — only a deep conviction that ordinary people, doing what they can with what they have, can change lives. That belief has never wavered."

RTB Foundation was built not on funding or recognition, but on a genuine desire to serve. Over two decades, we have learned that the most powerful thing we can give anyone is not money or materials — it is the knowledge that someone sees them, and cares.

Whether we are paying a student's school fees, providing medications to someone who cannot afford them, or simply showing up for a widow who has no one — we do it because we believe that is what a compassionate society looks like.

As we enter our third decade, I invite you to join us. Donate, volunteer, or simply spread the word. Every act of kindness creates a ripple.
